As we’ve at fast pace wound our way through the year and now at a halfway point this week is a subtle reminder that it’s the calm before the storm with both a solar and lunar eclipse looming just ahead. Energy has been almost enigmatic in part due to the ongoing and more frequent occultations of the Moon to Saturn and Pluto. An occult is akin to a mini eclipse where energy for a moment is blotted out. This will happen not just with the eclipses of the Sun and Moon but also the Moon will occult Mars an again Saturn and Pluto. Putting it all together is like piecing bits of energy that forms a picture of things to come that will be further twists and turns over the next several months. Also just ahead is Mercury retrograde beginning in Leo and backing into Cancer that is the eclipse axis.
There’s always the higher road and not everyone is affected by the harsh side of planet and cosmic angles which is one of the reasons I write this column – to offer insight as preparation and hopefully seeing more than one way of working with it all. Many are reacting to the downside of the recent Mercury, Mars and Pluto connections that was intense. Some acted out with tempers flaring and aggression that called for a lot of patience and sidestepping verbal attacks. Some people actually baited others to respond as an excuse to act and go to war without regard for consequences. From parking locks where people aggressed onto others to impatience shopping that shouldn’t be where serious venting occurs. The fallout of inability to cope is everywhere so having a sanctuary to relax and feel safe is imperative. Cancer, part of the eclipse energy is emotion so take time within the Cancer space of home and safety to establish it as your oasis.
This week while the Moon is lessening in light is great for finding a comfort zone to recoup and seek solace. The Last Quarter Moon in Aries will help you to find the right direction and once Mercury of communication is in Leo on Wednesday you can move forward with more confidence and understanding.
