Make Sure to Look Up As You Embrace the Summer Solstice & Seasonal Shift
Something pretty rare and out of the ordinary is happening right around the time of the Summer Solstice or Sun’s shift into the sign of Cancer, which takes place on June 21. The conditions are so special, lasting pretty much all through the week of June 20-24, that you don’t want to miss out.
Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn will all be visible to our naked eye. This doesn’t happen all that often (the last time was in 2004!). I know I’ll be looking UP in the days ahead and I encourage you to do the same. Here’s the full low down of the visuals day-by-day on Earth Sky.
Summer Solstice & the Sun’s Shift into Cancer
The solstice marks the point when the Sun enters the sign of Cancer and begins a new seasonal shift of energy. It is the longest and brightest day of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere) and incredibly powerful in regards to setting intentions and making initiations.
The Solstice is a perfect time to “reset” and make intentions for the coming months. It’s a time of resurgence and optimism as we head into the next season. Seasonal shifts are great opportunities to embrace new energy and make a fresh start.
There are a lot of things going on in this Solstice Story. Interestingly enough the influence of Aries will be incredibly strong. I see this next season delivering a lot of initiations and needs to pioneer. Many of us are ready to make a fresh start and go back to the beginning. The world has delivered many changes. This new season welcomes courage to begin again an explore the unknown. It’s unpredictable, unnerving and yet exciting at the same time.
Use the protective energy of the sign of Cancer to nurture your nature. Be in tune for a call to explore something entirely new! Your emotional sanity may need it. Ask yourself where you want and need to SHINE your light next. AND watch the skies to become in tune with the planet’s influence surrounding you. We’re heading into a truly magical moment.
